Miguel Cardoso’s 2017/2018 season did not go unnoticed in Portugal and abroad. One of France’s most prestigious and historic clubs, FC Nantes, signed Miguel Cardoso to take on the role as head coach.
FC Nantes, reputed for its famous academy and producing world-class players, as well as for the renowned “jeux a la nantaise” style of play, identified Miguel Cardoso as having the capacity for recovering these two pillars of the historic club.
In the pre-season both fans and press praised FC Nantes, identifying the infamous “jeux a la nantaise” style of play, a style that was maintained into the season. Simultaneously, Miguel Cardoso used the talent in the FC Nantes academy to promote and develop youth players such as Enock Kwateng and Abdoulaye Dabo.
