On May 28 2019, Miguel Cardoso signed with AEK Athens, from Greece.
“I understand what “Born From Ashes, Destined For Glory” means having read about the history of this club. After all of these years, the fans continue expressing their passion for their club every day. The word “Union” has an important meaning for the supporters and it holds a powerful value. I will try to create a team which the fans can be proud of”, Cardoso said in his presentation to the fans.
At AEK Athens, Miguel Cardoso made his debut in European competitions as head coach.
